
In my role as the UX lead at Noor Inc, I spearheaded a collaborative effort to address the challenge faced by Pizza Hut during the COVID-19 wave in India. Our mission was to develop a contactless menu within a tight two-week deadline, enabling customers to browse and order from Pizza Hut's restaurants without physical contact with traditional menus.
Ideation and Design
The project focused on enhancing the digital menu experience to draw more customers to Pizza Hut's restaurants. Extensive research was conducted to understand customer interactions with digital menus, informing the user journey design that prioritized both digital menu usage and the overall restaurant experience. Working closely with my director and colleagues, we meticulously crafted the visual design to align with Pizza Hut's brand identity. UI exploration involved wireframing, hierarchy refinement, and a user-centric approach to simplicity. The final UI design ensured coherence in elements such as spacing, typography, and color scheme, delivering a seamless and intuitive digital menu experience.
Results
During the handover process, collaboration with the Pizza Hut India team was crucial. They provided essential assets for the project, and meticulous attention to detail was maintained during tasks such as copy changes, layer naming, and asset export. Through this project, I gained valuable insights into working with design systems, understanding the importance of brand identity, and strategic planning involving UX principles like information architecture.
